Welcome!
Another Installment in As The Marketer Turns. . . LOL! Though some of these make me squirm with embarrassment, they do show the developments as a marketer and in marketing-- it's everything from fun to frustrating. Just like the rest of the internet. (So, you "think" you want to work here, huh?) ;-)

New Updates Finished
Back To Directory
I'm pleased to report that after an intense, 72-hour session with only two brief intermissions (one of which was forced by a power outage during a snowstorm), I have managed to completely update and re-design my website, http://www.trackermo.com and well before the next Google ranking (I hope). Cross your fingers-- that's coming on the 21st of this month.

If you look it over you'll see I've made it much more inter-active and put myself on a schedule to keep it updated at least once a month. RSS feeds may provide fresh content automatically but, if it's like anything else, it will soon be abused and Google will discount it. Besides, in the case of a site like mine, I don't necessarily see the advantages to RSS. I mean, the whole point is that it's an individual site-- not just a lot of feeds from a lot of autobots.

One thing that always slows the re-design process down for me is that, as I go along, I get "new and exciting" ideas-- and I just can't resist trying them. With this re-design, I had promised myself to resist that temptation.

But I caved when I thought of that Short Stack (at the top of the page). That inspiration came to me when I had less than an hour to work (before I got kicked off the computer by my daughter) and I was amazed I was able to finish in time anyway.

Now I just have to update this and refresh everything.

BTW, was the internet slow this morning or was it me? I assumed it was something with my computer-- until my daughter rolled out of bed around 11:00 and reminded me that the internet sometimes slows down (even with a cable connection) when there are too many people online. Since she's home for President's Day, I realized she might be right. I mean, with these kinds of holidays, parents are still at work (online) but their kids, normally tucked at school most of the day, are home with free reign over their internet connection. And, especially at this time of the year-- what else is there to do?

More later.-- mo
