Welcome!
Another Installment in As The Marketer Turns. . . LOL! Though some of these make me squirm with embarrassment, they do show the developments as a marketer and in marketing-- it's everything from fun to frustrating. Just like the rest of the internet. (So, you "think" you want to work here, huh?) ;-)

Tracker Mo's RSS Feed Goes Live
Back To Directory
After some wrestling with the verbage and a few failed validation attempts -- plus a quick review of the instructions -- my RSS Feed is live.

Of course, this blog's feed is live. Thanks to the guys at blogger.com, that's been true since the day I joined. But I'm talking about my website page, the one where all my articles are stored.

Plus, I just uploaded my latest article, 8 Secrets To Conquering The Internet, which discusses the difference between being a mere internet marketer and being an Internet Conqueror! (RAHH!) . . .

Also, to help those who don't have a Feed Reader, I included a link to a FREE reader and instructions on how to install a feed-- for those of us who are still catching up with this technology.

Many experts are predicting that RSS feeds will replace email marketing. I doubt that will happen over night, mostly because marketers tend to eternally chase ever more traffic-- Like being Too Rich or Too Thin, there's just no such thing as Too Much Traffic. (Heck, Look at Google!) But I do believe it's inevitable. I also think that will prove to be only one of its uses.

Sure, it could easily replace the emailed newsletters since the feeds would relieve newsletter editors of the tedious chore of sending out their newsletters. Wouldn't it be interesting if, the newsletters are using feeds to capture their content-- and the newsletter readers are using feeds to read the newsletters. This could get a little crazy. I guess we'll all have to "stay tuned" to find out what's next.

For my part, I installed the RSS Feed because, as much as I love article marketing, one of its downsides is the tedious chore of submtting the articles to all the submission sites. While I appreciate that they DO promote my articles, I can't help but thinking that it would be lovely to simply upload each article as I complete it and not have to do another thing. . . well, now I'm one step closer to that reality. And, too, end-users (i.e., those who are interested in actually reading my articles), can pick up the feed directly and will have instant access each time I write an article.

Of course, I will continue to submit my articles to the submission sites for some time to come. I'm not even sure how much longer, but probably at least until the end of this year. Or, possibly, until I see the traffic to my articles pages is substantial enough. We'll see.

For anyone who would like to learn how to set up a feed on their own site, email me and reference this blog.

Now my next task will be to "get the word out" (i.e., create an advertising campaign) that lets everyone know the feed exists. There are, of course, feed announcements and places where you can list a new feed. But I also plan to promote this to my list, as well as. . . well, write an article about it. That should let the world at large know!--mo
