Hi!-- I'm back. :)
I know I haven't been able to update this much lately. That's mostly because of OPFM and the pre-launch of its Trafficane Exchange Miracle Matrix/Speed Matrix. For anyone who doesn't know, I'm the manager of the OPFM Forum. And, let me tell you, this pre-launch has been a bear-- especially at the member's only forum.
But now that we're just about ready to launch, it seems like everything is finally falling into place. And I can get back to the tasks at hand...
Hmmm. So here I go, trying to figure out my schedule again. I'm beginning to think this is the true eternal question. (LOL!) One thing I have come to realize is, not only do you not HAVE to do every kind of marketing imagineable, you don't even have to. Not that I really WANT to do every kind imagineable, trust me! In fact, depending on a specific situation, some marketing is more effective than others.
For instance, IF you have your own website (or blog), then your focus should be on gaining traffic. And -- as I've learned the slow and steady way -- traffic comes to those who work consistently at their traffic exchanges and safelists.
Of course, there's a right way and a wrong way to do this... but that's another matter.
The point is, both of these types of marketing force traffic to your site on a daily basis. I only work them for an hour a day (each) and find I've been getting more than 5,000 hits a day.
Of course, these aren't quality hits (duh). But that doesn't matter. What matters is a consistent stream of traffic. And after just a few weeks of doing this, I have found two of my pages on the first page of google search engines-- one of them at the very top! -- plus, my site ranking has finally risen to 4/10.
All this, just from 2 hours of work a day. And, as my upline is wont to point out: consistency is essential. He's right. It IS critical to do those 2 hours everyday, without fail. If I slip for just a day or two, I see the difference, both in sign ups and in backed up work, especially in my safelists. It's never worth it.
But with consistent work, receive at least 2-3 sign ups a week. While that's not gang-busters, it's consistent growth. But, again, it's not just working the traffic exchanges, it's know HOW to work them so you get real traffic in return.
For one thing, I am not a big fan of the larger traffic exchanges. They're great, don't get me wrong. But the problem is that many more people have their pages listed on them, than actually participate in clicking on links. . . so, even when I CAN allocate 500 hits a day, I don't actually get them. :(
But on the smaller exchanges, it's a different story. There, I find if I don't visit and participate everyday, my credits will be used up in no time.
Safelists, too, with the advent of click-for-credit additions to the emails, mean that, not only are participants getting their emails opened, they are getting massive hits on their sites. (Be sure to use the credit-based email, if you use this.)
Of course, for those who use these forms of traffic-generation, one of the best tools is Traffic Hoopla which ranks each traffic exchange and safelist by weekly popularity and checks to make sure it's a legitimate company. Plus, by inputting your own links to the TE & SL that you belong to, it gives you a one-stop way to gain referrals-- all for free.
So it's worth it.
You know, I've always said, if a person knew what they were doing, it would be a simple thing to earn a very healthy income online without spending a dime-- and this is a key ingredient in that recipe.--mo
